Week 6
Bethlehem Christian WR Zeke Clanton rushed for 114 yards on 13 carries and had 2 receptions for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 49-0 victory over Loganville Christian.
Briarwood Academy RB/WR/LB Mason Poss had 4 receptions for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns, 9 rushes for 39 yards, 8 tackles, 5 tackles for losses and 4.5 sacks in a 49-12 victory over Windsor Academy.
Edmund Burke Academy RB/DB Aden Hickman rushed for 198 yards and 4 touchdowns on 16 carries and had 9 tackles in a 47-6 victory over Pinewood Christian.
Flint River Academy RB/LB Sully Jones rushed for 98 yards and 3 touchdowns on 5 carries, intercepted a pass and had 2 tackles for losses while playing only one half in a 46-0 victory over Dominion Christian.
Stratford Academy RB Tyler Stephens rushed for 141 yards and scored on runs of 62 and 49 yards in a 33-27 overtime loss to Brookstone.
Additionally, two of our GIAA member schools were recognized as having high-performing offensive lines!
Brentwood’s offensive line of Z.J. Scott, Will Hodges, Cooper Smith, Cordie Frances and Gray Waller and tight ends Riley Helton and Jackson Bragg paved the way for 360 total yards on 29 snaps in a 33-6 victory over John Milledge Academy. Brentwood broke a 10-game losing streak to John Milledge during which the War Eagles had never scored more than 12 points.
George Walton Academy’s offensive line of Aidan Chatham, Aidan Townsend, Trayce Mayberry, Adrian Campbell and Brody Hamman with tight end/H-backs Roland Crutchfield and Ayden Concepcion cleared a path for 419 yards rushing and 81 yards passing in a 49-14 victory over Athens Christian.
